Kory’s setup for the recording of The Dot and the Line by Robert Rodriguez with the Copland House Ensemble.

“My latest use of the Miller Machine was on a recording of a chamber piece by Robert Rodriguez entitled The Dot and the Line. The instrumentation was percussion, violin, cello, clarinet, flute, harp and piano. The text written by Norton Juster (who also wrote the children's book The Phantom Tollbooth) was narrated by Jamie Bernstein (Leonard Bernstein's daughter)

The session was expertly engineered by veteran classical music producer Judy Sherman. We recorded at the recital hall at The Performing Arts Center at Purchase College.

The Miller Machine saved the day for one triangle note that needed to be played while I had timpani mallets in hand.

The other members of the Copland House Ensemble are Michael Boriskin, Linda Chesis, Harumi Rhodes, Jacqui Kerrod, Moran Katz and Alice Yoo.”
