"Here's my rig for the 5th Avenue's new production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, with a new full orchestration by Bruce Monroe. Bruce has tailored many orchestrations for us, and as a percussionist he knows exactly how to load up the books for me, and then lets me add my own twists for the final version.

Beginning with my usual standard layout (Timps left, Xylo and Glock stacked over Vibes), I used the orchestra pit cable rail as a handy guiro and triangle stand. Gran Cassa is hung from the stage extension. The famous kazoo part was moved from the reed section to me for this version. Small plastic 'party favor' kazoos (as opposed to the standard metal model usually seen) simulate the singing electric razor perfectly."
